I am selling the APM140 refractor with FPL53 and Lanthan lenses (F7 / FL 980mm)It was bought as a “used item” from Italy from an astronomy equipment site.
It probably suffered some bigger shocks during transport and I had to send it (under warranty) to Wellenform in Germany for optical realignment and collimation. The focuser was also repaired and adjusted. Now it presents itself perfectly optically and 9/10 mechanically, being very easy to collimate (3×3 easily accessible push-pull screws).
The weight is 9 Kg, being quite portable. The 2.5″ rack and pinion focuser has a drawtube travel of 95mm. With the right adapters, I managed to use it with Binoviewer (Denkmeyer II) without GPC/Barlow.
The reason for the sale is that I found a Takahashi at a good price, so I don’t want to have 2 refractors of 5’ and 5.5’ at the same time.
Buyer pays transport (100CHF) and money transfer fees.
