I am selling my Vixen FL55SS apo.
This is a great little fluorite astrograph, and I’m selling it because I simply have too many telescopes, so it doesn’t get the use it deserves. Anyone who knows the FL55SS is aware that it can be challenging to tame due to some unusual design choices — but all of those issues have been solved on this setup. No more clearance problems, no more rotation headaches, no more impossible EAF mounting. Just attach your camera and start imaging.
Included in the package Vixen FL55SS OTA Vixen HD reducer/flattener kit Dovetail bar Primaluce rings and spacers – allow proper clamping – ensure full ZWO EAF compatibility – fix the original focuser clearance problem, custom 3D-printed accessory for secure ZWO EAF mounting (an extra one is included in the price), M56–M48 adapter for standard optical accessories, Artesky M48 rotator (solves the non-rotatable design).
This configuration removes every practical frustration of the stock FL55SS. The ZWO EAF on the picture is NOT INCLUDED in the price. Filter drawer precise M48 spacers and micro-spacer to achieve the correct backfocus and to deliver perfect stars can be purchased separately.
Condition Optics: good and perfectly functioning. Mechanics: fully functional. Cosmetics: visible signs of external wear, purely aesthetic.
Original parts available, include the optical train extender.
